Spirit of Martyrdom, the Christ-like characteristics of FaithHope and Love

by Anne Maubach

Spirit of Martyrdom is a ministry that was started by the grace of God and the work of the Holy Spirit. It belongs to Christ and He is the head. In this regard, SOM will practice corporate and individual humility. Our identity is found as new creations in Christ. Therefore, SOM will boldly and courageously proclaim and execute its mission with an aim at lifting all the work of Christ and His Kingdom as possible.

Spirit of Martyrdom ministries exists for the glory of God by serving the global Church. We desire to assist Christians who are witnessing their faith at great cost and sacrifice. In Greek, “martyr” translates as “witness”.  In the USA, we hope to embolden Christians in their witness of Christ with testimonies of what God is doing around the world.

Can You Say, “It Is Well With My Soul” And Mean It?

We count it a privilege to serve our persecuted brothers and sisters globally-the living martyrs.  Currently, we are equipping our family in Christ with resources and support in several Islamic countries in North Africa and the Middle East. In Asia, we are supporting a church planting movement with training schools and tools of ministry which includes our Bible discipleship and sewing school (for widows and single mothers) in India. In Bangladesh, SOM supports distribution of Bibles and Christian materials.  In South America, we are delighted to serve alongside with Russell Stendal in Colombia.  Russell’s family has served as missionaries in Colombia for over 50 years.

Spirit of Martyrdom keeps forefront the Christ-like characteristics of FaithHope and Love. The greatest value being love. (1 Cor. 13:13) We shall express these godly characteristics in every part of our ministry.
